Position Overview
The position will be responsible for performing preventative, predictive, routine and emergency maintenance on process plant equipment, including mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, communication and control systems in a timely manner to ensure safe, efficient and reliable plant operation.
Strength in technical problem solving based on expertise and experience, and a strong commitment to efficiently achieve high quality results is required. A thoughtful, persevering, self-disciplined approach to achieving accurate, detailed work is essential.
This position is a four day per week, 10 hour day with rotating on call responsibilities that may require you to work evenings, nights, and weekends on an as needed basis.
Minimum Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent required plus two years of vocational/technical training in the various phases of welding, pipefitting, electrical, electronic, or instrumentation and controls or other related industrial mechanical maintenance training is required. An Associate degree in electrical, electronic or instrumentation and controls, or industrial maintenance can be substituted for the two years of experience. • Must live within a one hour drive time of the plant location • Must have a valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in power and process systems maintenance – ethanol preferred • Experience performing maintenance in industrial or manufacturing setting • Experience repairing or maintaining pumps, fans, valves, gearboxes, and conveyors • Experience with electrical & instrumentation installation, troubleshooting, & repair • Working knowledge of DCS/PLC • Experience performing mechanical duties which include welding, rigging, and the use of hand and power tools • Ability to read and understand Piping & Instrumentation Drawings (P&IDs)
