Senior .NET Developer

Our leading edge weighing control systems with RFID technology, PLC/HMI Automation systems and enterprise logistics inventory system for railcar traffic management are employed by the major Agricultural, Food and Bio-Fuel companies in the US and abroad.
We are embarking on the development of a strategic platform to drive the next generation of process control applications for our customers.

Duties
Develop multi-tier .NET applications as Windows service and WPF/Silverlight-based front-end clients.  Strong focus on the device-oriented and process-oriented environment utilizing plug-in architecture and some embedded application development.

Skills

• 3-5 years of experience with the .NET Framework, C# and Visual Studio IDE.
• Solid understanding of the object-oriented programming (OOP).
• Solid understanding of software architecting principles, common design patterns and software implementation best practices.
• Experience using ADO.NET, ASP.NET and WCF Web Services.
• Practical knowledge of .NET, WPF/Silverlight, XAML and MVVM pattern.
• Ability to create and consume Web services (REST, XML, SOAP, Web Sockets).
• Strong experience designing and working with N-Tier architectures (UI, Business Logic Layer, Data Access Layer, ORM).
• Good working knowledge of MS SQL Server, SSMS, ability to write CRUD queries.
• Prior experience with regex syntax, data parsers and processing structured text files (ETL pattern) is a plus.
• Experience developing software for mobile or cloud platforms is a plus.
• Experience/knowledge of Agile, Scrum methodologies.
• Experience in creating unit tests and using TDD approach.
• Strong ability to work in a customer interfacing environment.
• Applicants are expected to be staying abreast with the IT industry and constantly self-educate.

Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field
