Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Technician Print

The position will be responsible for performing preventative, predictive, routine and emergency maintenance on the plant electrical, instrumentation, communication and control systems in a timely manner to ensure safe, efficient and reliable plant operation.

Strength in technical problem solving based on expertise and experience, and a strong commitment to efficiently achieve high quality results is required. A thoughtful, persevering, self-disciplined approach to achieving accurate, detailed work is essential.

This position is a four day per week, 10 hour day with rotating on call responsibilities that may require you to work evenings, nights, and weekends on an as needed basis.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required plus two years of vocational/technical training in the various phases of electrical, electronic, or instrumentation and controls. An associate degree in electrical, electronic or instrumentation and controls can be substituted for the two years of experience.
  • Must live within a one hour drive time of the plant location
  • Must have a valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with electrical & instrumentation installation, troubleshooting & repair
  • Experience with Hart communicator
  • Experience with repair of equipment such as pumps, gear boxes, and conveyors
  • Working knowledge of DCS/PLC
  • Experience performing maintenance in an industrial/manufacturing setting
  • Experience with Arc Flash
  • Ability to read and update electrical Piping & Instrumentation (P&IDs)
